THE CHALLENGE

1Med SA faced the need to structure its IT environment to support business expansion. The starting point was a server migration project to Azure, which then paved the way for a broader modernization of the network infrastructure.

Until that point, the networking solution in use was no longer sufficient to ensure the performance and security required by a company growing at such a rapid pace.

Another crucial aspect concerned network management, a particularly strategic area for a growing company. Although 1Med SA has a skilled internal IT team, the company recognized the value of partnering with a specialized provider to ensure a more structured and proactive approach to network management.

The goal was not only to provide a new network infrastructure, but also to ensure continuous and proactive service—relieving the internal IT team and guaranteeing that the network remained high-performing and aligned with business needs. “We could rely on a highly skilled team, always ready to answer our questions and offer valuable advice to help us optimize the network,” Santinon emphasizes.

Through a cloud-based console, the IT team now has full visibility and immediate control over the network, with the ability to monitor performance, apply security policies, and manage configurations in a simple and intuitive way. Security has been enhanced on multiple levels, with managed firewalls and advanced policies to protect the infrastructure from cyber threats—ensuring continuous protection that adapts to the evolving threat landscape.

One of the key elements of the service is proactive and continuous monitoring: thanks to constant oversight, 4IT Solutions promptly identifies and resolves any anomalies, reducing the risk of downtime and improving network stability. Patching and software updates are centrally managed, ensuring that all devices are always up to date and protected.

Network management goes beyond technical maintenance and includes structured support for incident and critical event handling. In the event of hardware failures or malfunctions, 4IT Solutions acts as a single point of contact (SPOC) for the client, directly managing escalation to vendors to ensure fast and effective resolution.

Finally, the network was designed with flexible scalability to support the continuous growth of users and devices, ensuring optimal Wi-Fi coverage and high performance. This approach allows the company to manage its expansion with a modern, secure, and constantly monitored network infrastructure—without having to invest time and resources in day-to-day operational management.

THE RESULTS

Thanks to the new network infrastructure managed by 4IT Solutions, 1Med SA has achieved enhanced security, greater scalability, and uninterrupted service availability.

“What impressed us the most was the speed of implementation. In a very short time, everything was fully operational and optimized. Throughout the entire process, we received constant support, with quick responses and immediate solutions to any issue,” says Santinon.

One of the most significant benefits has been the increased network availability. Thanks to proactive monitoring, 4IT Solutions quickly detected a firewall failure and acted immediately to prevent any disruption. “We experienced a firewall outage, but we didn’t even notice it because 4IT notified us and resolved the issue before it could impact our operations,” explains Santinon.

To ensure redundancy and business continuity, a secondary backup line was also implemented alongside the primary connection, ensuring that any connectivity issues do not disrupt the company’s operations.
